YouTube Allows High Quality Embedded Videos
As of today, you can hear the mass of YouTubers rejoicing. YouTube, owned by Google, is now allowing websites all across the world to embed their videos in high quality.
We reported YouTube changing their videos to High Definition a month ago and then we noted it was just a matter of time for high quality YouTube embeds to arrive. Looks like the time has come.
So how do you embed your YouTube video to high quality greatness? It’s simple:
(1) Copy the YouTube embed code from YouTube.com and insert it in your blog as HTML
(2) Once the visitor pushes the play button on your embedded video, he or she will then see an option window (bottom right where the arrow is) that pops up and you’ll see “HQ” as well as other new embed features (closed captioning, etc). They just need to click on HQ and voila… the YouTube video you’ve embedded begins to play in high quality.
Thank you YouTube. Welcome to 2004. ![]()

How do you insert the embed code as HTML? And what do you mean when you say “my blog”? Is that my YouToube page?
Thanks,
Esther

No Esther… a blog is a blog – not YouTube or your page of YouTube.

Esther – to insert the embed code, you just copy the code from YouTube and embed it into your blog (which is HTML).
