The Hamptons Has A Monster

Hamptons Creature Picture

So I just got home from our fantastic week in Destin, Florida and the first piece of news that comes across my RSS Feed is this! A washed up creature was photographed twice by witnesses and scientists have no idea what this creature is. According to several news reports, some people say it could be a bloated raccoon but then why does it have a beak? Others have said it’s a sea turtle without its shell, but turtles don’t have long legs like this creature does. All I can say is this will definitely be a Monster Quest episode some day!

Scary!

It’s a decomposed rat or dog. We have no size comparison which really bugs me. So the more I look at it, the more it looks like a big rat to me. My only other guess is a platypus with the beak of a vicious parrot and not one of a duck. ;)

    Falco?

I tend to agree it’s probably some decomposed animal… HOWEVER, there’s a 2nd photo floating around (google) and you can see a large fly on the creature’s back to give you some scale. It’s large.
