Why the TX State Fair ROCKS!

Saturday, October 4th, 2008

So my coworkers and I went to the Texas State Fair last Wednesday and it was so much fun! In the four years that I’ve lived in Dallas, this is my first time at the State Fair. We ate so much fried goodness that it literally made me sick afterwards.

What to see how fun it was? Check out the latest Moxie Mo Show #27 here.

Moxie Mo Show #18: Democrats, Nokia N95, Cyber Terrorism And Podcasts

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

In this episode, I tell you the big news if I get to speak at the Democratic National Convention, a review of why the Nokia N95 is NOT moxie and did the world miss the largest cyber terrorist attack this past weekend? What’s really going on with Best Western getting compromised?

Also, a huge call out to the Moxies (aka you) on what is YOUR favorite podcast? I need to know for a future show. We all know Geekbrief rocks the party, but what other podcasts are you secretly addicted to?

Don’t be a fool, leave a comment and let me know!

Spectra: A Moxie Newsreader

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

If you’re anything like me, you like to read your news online and the cooler the interface, the more I read the news. Well, MSNBC just created a really cool and moxie new way to read their news headlines. Spectra is a brilliantly colorful news reader that allows you to customize the topics you want to read. If you like entertainment, pick entertainment. If you like US Headlines, pick that. Once you’ve picked which topics you want to read, Spectra will then give you a breathtaking view of the news. It reminds me of CoverFlow on a bit of LSD (not that I know what LSD is like, but you’ll understand once you see the demo).

Check this quick video out of me playing on Spectra. It may not be the best way to capture news for an audience, but it definitely makes it more fun and well, that to me is moxie.

Also, what are your thoughts? Will something like Spectra make you begin reading MSNBC’s news now or is it something you’re not interested in? Leave a comment below…
