Sometimes when I hear the word “free” in an advertisement, I always tend to think “what’s the catch?” I just recently came upon a website that’s giving away free cell phone headsets to anyone in the world… why? To promote driving safety.

So what’s the catch? Well, from what I can tell, there’s not one. First, not all the headsets are free although you can find the “un-free” ones at a huge, discounted price. Second, there have been several press releases from reputable sources that make me think this site is legit. In fact, Dallas’ NBC Channel 5 just discussed this on the nightly news.

FreeHeadset.org has almost every cell phone manufacturer listed and all you do is click on your cell phone model and you’re on your way to a FREE (or majorly discounted) headset! The website claims they’ve given away over 200,000 cell phone headsets. Drive safely!

I find this new feature incredible! How many times am I in my car and wondering what my friends’ latest updates on Twitter are? Or what Lifehacker has just posted? This is really an incredible feature and I’m glad Jott has added it.
