Brittany Murphy: Dies at 32 – Cardiac Arrest – Developing Story…

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

Yet again, Twitter (with the help of TMZ.com) broke the news that actress Brittany Murphy, pictured below, has died this morning at 8am PST. Her husband called 911 and she was DOA due to cardiac arrest. At this time of post, TMZ.com and Perezhilton.com are the only two sites confirming this – still waiting on CNN, MSNBC or Fox – but the story just broke.

Murphy was in a few popular movies in the 90s and had at least 3 movies coming out in 2010. She was 32 years old. For more info, check my Twitter page at http://www.twitter.com/jeffmccord

PhillyD in the House!

One of my hobbies lately (lets face it, I’m quickly having no social life now that I’m practically married, in the homo sense) is to view funny videos on YouTube. As most of you know, James bought me an AppleTV for an early birthday present (which basically makes go “lalalalalala” while rubbing my chest, what?).

James and I were viewing the most viewed YouTube videos and we literally came across this hysterical college guy named PhillyD. He produces a daily show that discusses everything and anything from celebrities to politics to Fred Phelps (he’s a total douchehole, ps). Within two shows, we were hooked on this guy’s show. He’s fun, he’s smart, he’s an ass… but one worthy of subscribing to and watching every single day.

Check it out and let me know your thoughts!

A New Earth: Oprah’s New Book Choice

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Regardless of what you think of Oprah (personally, she’s one of my heroes), you can not deny her influence she has in the world especially when it comes to choosing books. I, myself, am not necessarily an avid book reader. My Mom is but I have never been. I will say, though, after watching Oprah’s show today, I can NOT wait to get a hold of her new book club’s choice — A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose (click on the link to read more about it)

Why did I decide to write about this? Simple. Oprah announced today on her show that she will be holding her first ever web class regarding this book. She and author Eckhart Tolle will be conducting this web class for ten weeks (every Monday night) starting Monday, March 3rd, 2008.

The best part? Anyone around the world can reserve a “seat” in her interactive classroom. So sign up now. I really feel, in my soul, that this book and Oprah’s interactive class will literally change me from inside to outside. And let’s be REAL honest with ourselves… in this day and age, we need some spiritual enlightenment no matter how it comes.
So all I can ask you, my reader, is to just watch this short video that I recorded from Oprah.com’s website. She explains why this is her new book choice and why this book will literally transform our lives. I just purchased my copy on Amazon.com for $8!!! Here’s to reading this phenomenal book… check this other video out:

SAG Finally! An Awards Show!

After many months of not seeing any of our celebs in any type of prime time awards show, the SAGs are on tonight on TBS/TNT.  Rumor also has it that the writers’ strike will be resolved in the next two to three weeks.  Here’s to our fingers being crossed… no repeats and no new reality shows!
