Oprah’s A New Earth Webcast: My Check-in

One of the most viewed posts on my blog is of A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle and Oprah’s webcast class. I thought, since we’re half way through, it would be appropriate to discuss my journey with this book.
If I could grade myself on my perfomance with Oprah’s class as well as the book, I’d have to give myself a solid D. Not good. Here’s why:
Although I’ve downloaded every single class show (or I’ve watched it live on Monday nights), I’m still not past Chapter 3 (currently, we’re supposed to be on Chapter 7). I can’t blame a busy schedule because there are several days in the week where I’m not extremely busy. I can’t blame disinterest as well since I really do love this class and this book. I’m not sure why I can’t get it together and get to Chapter 7.
One thing I do love about this book is the discussion of being in the present. Something I personally suck at is always thinking about the past or the future. I never truly live in the present. And I can see, I’m grading myself a B on this since the book and the webclass have really made me begin to live presently.
So, this is my mid-semester grade I’m giving myself. I hope to report a better grade in the next few weeks.
If you’re stil not reading the book or attending Oprah’s webclass, the information is below:

Sally, as much as we respect others opinions on my blog, in all due respect, why don't you read the book before making a judgement on it. Clearly, if you HAD read the book, this comment wouldn't even be in existence because you would have realized just how wrong you truly are.

I started this book too. I'm like you in that I don't pick it back up as often as I should. I like it though. It's a good reminder of things I feel I already intrinsically knew.
