Deco’s Bath – The Aftershow
So as you know by now, I’ve been having a lot of fun with my new Macbook and Flip Video Recorder. I gave Deco, my puppy, a bath today and decided that it was time to record what he does EVERY time he finishes his bath. And I went ahead and added Kelly Clarkson’s awesome song, “Go”, to the video as it fits perfectly. Gotta love this puppy, Deco. He’s a riot! Happy Saturday my friends!!!You can also watch it on YouTube… click here! Jeff & Deco

We had a whippet that lived to the ripe old age of 16. This dog would lose it’s mind after every bath. That was eventually her downfall. We gave her a bath, and she started running laps around our dining room table, and wouldn’t stop. She ran like she was a puppy. After about her 20th lap at full-tilt, she walked over to my mother, laid down at her feet, and died. She literally ran herself to death; a puppy to the end. You gotta love dogs – their enthusiasm, energy, and loyalty. I couldn’t imagine that dog dying any other way.

OMG Tom. At first I was horrified to read your story… but after thinking about it, you’re absolutely right. Your dog died doing something she loved. Sounds like you and your wife raised her well and she was happy… and that’s all that matters. Thanks for the comment Tom!

Yeah, it definitely wasn’t my intent to horrify. It was truly beautiful. She definitely didn’t suffer, and she was being every bit the dog she was born to be. The end of your video reminded me very much of her behavior, and it made me smile. Thanks for sharing!
