iPhone Video Recorder Actually Works!

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

I’ve never been one who has had a lot of patience. I know that Apple will be releasing some major news in the next few weeks, but I decided a few weeks ago to go ahead and jailbreak my iPhone so that I could add more applications to it. One of the applications I installed is the iPhone Video Recorder. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t think the iPhone had the capability to capture good video. I’m pleased to say, I was surprised. There’s still much more to do in regards to development, but bravo to the team that made this great application.

The video below was recorded on my iPhone while I was outside taking Deco out (at work). Enjoy!

Summer Time!

For most people, there’s nothing more fun than the arrival of summer! I got a group of my coworkers to answer the age old question, “What’s your favorite thing about summer”? Here’s their response:

Now, my readers, it’s YOUR turn. What’s YOUR favorite thing about summer? Do you take a family trip each summer? If so, where? Do you get time off from school, college, teaching, etc? What’s your favorite month of summer? All these questions MUST be answered below, if you want to stay moxie. ;) Leave a comment in the notes below!

Moxie Movie Review: Into the Wild

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

From time to time, I love to blog about great, inspiring movies I’ve watched. Last night, we decided to rent Into the Wild starring Emile Hirsch. This movie is based on a true story. It tells the tale of a kid (Christopher) who graduates from Emory University in 1992. He was a top student and a top athlete. However, he had a horrible relationship with his parents that would embark him on a journey of his life. Giving away the $24,000 in his savings account, he goes on a trek across the United States and ends up in Alaska to wrestle his demons and inner turmoil.

Along the way, he meets some incredible people that will forever change him as well as them.

This is an excellent movie and I give it 4 moxies (out of 5). Feel free to check out my other Moxie Movie Reviews here and here.

Here’s a clip of Into the Wild… just one of many characters that Christopher meets on his journey of life.

My Mom: Happy Mother’s Day Video

Sunday, May 11th, 2008

Ever since my brother passed away in 2005 from colon cancer, I’ve dreaded holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. However, Mother’s Day has got to be one of the hardest that my family goes through, especially for my Mom. I wanted to try to convey how much I love my Mom in this video I made for her and my entire family and I hope it shows how special of a mother she truly is. She’s always been there to help raise me up over my hurdles in life and for that, I will always be grateful. Happy Mother’s Day!

Using Widgets for Your Blog

Monday, April 28th, 2008

This is exactly why I love Twitter. You meet some of the coolest, moxiest people who teach you some really cool things and who share with you some awesome sites. For example, @daynah, the nicest lady I know who has helped me with fixing my website has a wonderful blog called PHP-Princess that you should check out! She’s always writing about the coolest widgets, websites and podcasts.

Her website turned me on to Lab Pixies. I wanted to embed this widget to show you, my readers, what I am talking about. There are several different widgets you can embed directly into your website (blog, MySpace, etc). Just wanted to share.
