My Story
Saturday, September 6th, 2008Have you ever heard a song and it grabs you immediately? Pulls you completely in? Well this happened to me. I love this song. Brandi Carlile sings it.
For some reason, I had a lot of creativity in me when I heard this song this morning. So five hours later, here it is. This is the story of my life since I’ve lived in Dallas. It’s only been 4 years, but I’ve had a lifetime happen in those 4 years.
This is my life these past 4 years, my struggles, my pain, my happiness and my joy. This is My Story.

Expressing Yourself With Wordle
Wednesday, June 25th, 2008Web 2.0 is really awesome, if you ask me. One of hundreds of reasons why I love Web 2.0 is the creativity that websites are creating on a daily basis. Have you ever wanted to express yourself in a way that has never been done before? Well, I have the website for you. My friends, you must check out Wordle.
Wordle was created by Jonathan Feinberg. According to Wordle, Wordle is “a toy for generating ‘word clouds’ from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text.” In other words, it’s a way of expressing yourself by something you write and then Wordle uses an algorithym to create an artistic piece of what you expressed in the words you wrote. I hope that makes sense.
So, the best way for me to show you (besides trying it out for yourself) is to show you my 2 Wordles that I created. I hope you enjoy them. The first wordle is about 3 paragraphs I wrote about who I am, what makes me the person I am and what describes me.
My second Wordle was created by taking every word in this blog post and creating a Wordle from the words in this post.
So there you go! How cool is this? Go to Wordle and try yours out and leave your HTML code in the comments or show us a link to yours once you save it.
Flipping Over The New Flip!
Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008According to Gizmodo, Flip announced their new Flip Video recorder that will be released on June 5th, 2008! The pictures of the Flip Mino look impressive. This new video recorder is said to be much slimmer and smaller than the previous models. Take it from me, Flip Video products are moxtastic! I use mine (Flip Ultra) all the time and the resolution is actually pretty darn impressive.
The Flip Mino will arrive in stores this Friday and will retail for $179.99. The Mino will be 40% smaller than the Flip Ultra and also has touch-sensitive buttons on the back for the video controls. This Flip holds 2gb of flash memory allowing for a total of 60 minutes of VGA-quality footage. Software is installed in the Flip which allows anyone, including your grandma, to edit video. It plugs directly into your USB port in your computer and it’s super easy to use.
For a moxie review of the Flip, make sure you check out my post here (regarding the Flip Ultra). If you’re in the market for a new video camera that doesn’t break your bank, I would suggest buying the new Flip Mino! Enjoy video recording!
2008 National Spelling Bee Champion Is…
Friday, May 30th, 2008This is what happens when I have nothing to do on Friday… and before I get any hate comments, this is JUST FOR FUN! Enjoy my friends!
Readers, unfortunately Vimeo’s video-hosting is down, so I’ve removed this video for the time being…
Webcam Fun 2.0
Tuesday, May 27th, 2008Thanks to Lifehacker for this awesome recommendation, I’ve never had such fun with my webcam before! There’s a website that allows anyone with a working webcam or built-in iSight cam (for us Mac users) to use our webcam in ways you never thought possible.
Cameroid is a website that gives you free tools to change your website picture into something hysterical or even something more professional looking. It’s very similar to Mac users’ Photo Booth. I took a few minutes to play around with it and created this video for your entertainment:
Now, from my understanding, Cameroid lets you take snap photos of your webcam. In order to capture the video like I did above, you must use a screen capturing software tool like Snapz Pro X.
Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you think about Cameroid!
