10 Steps To Live Your Life

For those of you who know me, you know that I’ve been going through a really tough time, personally, in the last few weeks. This isn’t the appropriate forum to divulge my personal dramas, but I came across an awesome post that literally lifted my spirits today. I want to also give credit to The Positivity Blog which promotes positivity in every day life… make sure you check it out!
One of my most favorite quotes of all time comes from Ghandi, in which I’ve dedicated this post. It is this quote in which I will leave you with Ghandi’s Top Ten Fundamentals For Changing the World: “My imperfections and failures are as much a blessing from God as my successes and my talents and I lay them both at his feet.”
(1) Change Yourself.
(2) You are in control.
(3) Forgive and let go.
(4) Without action you aren’t going anywhere.
(5) Take care of this moment.
(6) Everyone is human.
(7) Persist.
(8) See the good in people and help them.
(9) Be authentic and be your true self.
(10) Continue to grow and evolve.

These guidelines could be helpful in everything from choosing a career to getting in shape to running a blog that only one person reads. LOL thanks for sharing!

I agree with all of those, but I have the most problems with number 8. Sometimes the good in people is just a figment of my own imagination or find help or change too intimidating.

Hey Ross, What about changing #8 to something with a different tone or matter. How about "Find people doing things right! (instead of wrong)" Agree with Gandhi's principles and have been trying to apply them for ten years. Some days better than others.

I just need start being around people in my age range. Like I posted on Twitter a few mins ago, I just became friends with someone at work that currently goes to my High School. I graduated HS 8 years ago lol. When I went to college, I was an RA to dorm residents 6-8 years younger than me for 3 years straight. The most I've seen in most of those people is their care-free lives, obnoxious behavior, with practically 0 responsibility, and ride my coat tails because I know what I'm doing.
